Hi guys! Hope you enjoyed your weekend and had a good start to the week. 🙂 Today I’m bringing you a post all about what’s new at Profusion! I love Profusion cosmetics because they’re inexpensive and of course, cruelty free! You also get a big bang for your buck cause their products are great. You can usually find their products at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Burlington, Ocean State Job Lot and I’m sure other stores. You can also purchase their products online too! Keep on reading if you’re interested in what’s new!
First up is the concealer palette. This palette has 5 different concealer shades. The banana one is good for brightening up dull areas and correcting purple flaws, especially under the eyes. The salmon color is good for correcting the darkness under your eyes, which I’m sure you’ve seen color correcting all over the internet lately. It’s also good to help brighten your under eye area as well. There are 3 skin tone shades (none are light enough for my skin) but these would be good to conceal and imperfections on the skin. It also has a handy little brush to help apply the cream concealers.
Here are the swatches on my pale skin. They go on very smooth but aren’t highly pigmented, so multiple layers are needed. They don’t feel *too* greasy, but they do sort of remind me of halloween cream makeup – which could or could not be a bad thing, depending on your preference. I’m really excited to incorporate this palette into my everyday routine – I need all the help I can get with the dark circles under my eyes.
Next is the Pro Contour palette that has 3 highlight and 3 contour shades. The packaging reminds me of the Kat Von D shade and light palette (anyone else?) These are nicely pigmented powders that blend really nicely. I also like the fact that there’s a color that’s light enough for me to bronze/contour with (Taupe). I won’t be able to use the highlight shades since none of them are light enough for me, but no worry, I’m used to it 😛 I think this palette is great and I can’t wait to try it.
Taupe – Soft Brown – Coffee Brown
I applied these with my finger so the application looks sloppy but I guarantee it will most definitely look better with a brush 🙂 They are a little bit powdery so don’t forget to tap your brush off!
They have a variety of products and I think these eyeshadow sticks are pretty neat. I love my Milani Shadow Eyez sticks so I was curious to see if these would be similar and they are, but they aren’t as creamy or soft but are manageable. They twist up to reveal more product, which I also thought was cool so you don’t need a sharpener.
Here are the swatches. The purple, black and brown are matte and the white and bronzey brown are shimmers (not going to lie, the white one was very dry and hard to use). I think the bronze color would be great to put in the center or all over your lid for a glam effect.
You guys already know that I’m a sucker for all lip products. I’m a fan of matte products but sometimes love the look of glossy lip colors, especially for spring. These 5 colors are great for the upcoming season. They are so soft and smooth and are really pigmented. I think the purple color is daring (although I feel like I wouldn’t be able to pull it off but I think I might just try it anyways for the hell of it!) I will be getting the most use out of the nude shade, it’s my favorite.
Look at the pretty swatches.
Lastly, but definitely not least. This bad boy. It has everything you would need to complete a makeup look and is a GREAT starter kit/palette for someone just getting into makeup or for a younger girl.
It contains 24 eyeshadows, 3 cream concealers, 1 brow wax + 2 brow powders, 1 mascara, 1 lipgloss, 2 blushes, 1 highlighter, 1 bronzer and a couple brushes.
Here’s a closeup of the eyeshadows (sorry for the glare). There is a nice mix of matte, shimmer and foil shadows (or are those the same thing? lol) The brown mattes aren’t as pigmented as the other colors but you could easily build them up. I have WAY too many favorite colors with this selection. But I think Nylon is a super fun color, same with honey pot. Vanilla isn’t pictured since it was too light to my skin tone. P.s. one finger swipe for each color.
There are 3 cream concealers, which are also featured in the concealer palette. There’s a clear brow wax and two different brow powders, here they are swatched on the skin.
So here are the two blushes – not really my colors but they are still pretty. The blush is very powerful so a light hand would be best. And look at that freaken highlight (they have a great separate highlight palette *cough*) It’s beautiful AND light enough for my pale skin. The bronzer has some shimmer to it and is a little bit too warm for me, so I won’t use it. But I LOVE this beauty book/palette/big shot/thing.
Well, I hope you guys saw something that you liked! I had fun swatching everything, although it did make a huge mess. I hope you saw something you liked and enjoyed the post.
Let me know what your favorite product or color was in the comments below!
Xoxo, Rae
