Love Goodly Feb/March Box

by

Wow…it’s been quite a while, and I have a reason for that! I’m currently working on the post to go up in the next few days, so here is an unboxing of Love Goodly. Love Goodly is a bi-monthly subscription box full of eco friendly, vegan and cruelty free products for only $30 every other month. Each box has a value of $85+ and it’s a good way to try out some new products and brands. This is my favorite box right now and the only one I’ve kept my subscription to for a while! It doesn’t look like they have a coupon code for your first box right now, but if I find one – I’ll let you know! P.S. each box supports a different charity to help support animal (this box helped the Beagle Freedom Project).

This box comes with a recipe card and a list of the items and their value, which I find helpful. The recipe that we got in this box was an Apple, Grapefruit and Pomegranate Salad which does sound pretty tasty.

Active Calm Moisturizer | Full Size | $29

The first item I noticed in the box was this moisturizer from Yuni. This is a full sized item and it retails for $29. I have gotten body wipes from Yuni before but I haven’t used them yet. I am excited to try this out when I get the chance (currently trying to use up the moisturizers I have). It has some pretty great claims and is anti-aging and all natural, which is muy bien.

Sunshine Oil | Full Size (?) (Maybe a sample?)  | $18

I’ve gotten a roll-on oil from Orglamix before and I absolutely love it. It’s called Chill Pill and I use it before bed and whenever I feel like I have too much going on in my life. This oil however, is for skincare and not for self care (although skincare counts for self care too, right?) I’m always iffy about putting oils on my skin, especially since my hormones are unpredictable but I do want to try this out – it’s getting cold again in Massachusetts which means more dull and dry skin for me! On the card in the box it says it’s extremely concentrated, so only use a little. I’ll let you guys know how it goes!

Cream Luminizer | Full Size | $18

Having a good glow is really in right now, and if you’re looking for a subtle highlight – this is for you! It’s a cream luminizer so it’s really easy to use and looks natural on the skin. Use it alone or on top of foundation, or layer it with other highlighters for a dramatic pop. I can’t wait to start wearing this! It’s a gorgeous pinky nude and I’m sure it would look great on any skintone.

Open Weave Scarf / One Size / $22

Last, but not least – this awesome FAIR TRADE scarf! I wasn’t expecting a non-beauty item in this box, but was pleasantly surprised when I saw this bad boy. I’m a sucker for scarves and the fact that this one is handmade and fair trade. The colors aren’t exactly my favorite, but I’m sure I can find something to wear it with! Perhaps a black or grey tee – what do you think? 🙂

Wellppp, that’s all for the box! Overall, I’m pleased with another Love Goodly box. I kind of wish LG was monthly, but it’s kind of nice having something to look forward to every other month and not feel rushed to try products, like I felt with ipsy and other monthly boxes.

What’s your favorite subscription box? Let me know 🙂

I hope you enjoyed the post – I apologize for being away for so long!

Thanks so much for reading, as always <3

Xoxo, Rae

Love Goodly Dec/Jan Unboxing + Discount Code!

by

Hey loves! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah, or happy whatever you decide to celebrate! I enjoyed spending time with my family and loved seeing the looks on their faces as they opened the gifts I got them, which has always been my favorite thing about the holidays. Oh, and the food. The food is pretty great too.

Toooooday, we’re gonna take a look into my Love Goodly subscription box – which has been one of my favorites, and I have a discount code for you to try it out too! Get 20% off your FIRST subscription box with the code “LOVEFALL” (code expires 12/31/16, so make sure to use it soon!)

This box was curated by Emily Deschanel, which is pretty cool! (I’ve always been curious as to how much work goes into curating these boxes, how about you?) The box supported their partner the Farm Sanctuary, and most of their boxes help to support their partners, so it’s always a plus!

Here are the goodies I got! Two skin care items, 1 snack and two makeup items (lipgloss and nailpolish).

This Boom Chicka Pop popcorn was the bomb. It was soooo yummy and I actually ate the rest of the bag in between photos. You can buy a 6pk of the 0.6 ounce bags from Target for $5, which is pretty sweet if you ask me! They’re a guilt free snack and treat so I totally recommend them.

This is a really cool idea, it’s a blend of herbs that help to detoxify your skin when you put it in a bowl of hot water and hold your face over the bowl for a nice facial steam. This is a nice sample size but the full size retails for $22. I think this would be nice to use when you want an extra treat for you skin. I’m excited to try it out 🙂

I looooove Pacifica so I was pretty stoked to get this lip gloss. I’m not a huge lip gloss person but I wore it on Christmas Eve and it looked really nice. I got the shade Nudist I believe and I really like it. Pacifica’s lipglosses go for $10 so that’s a good portion of the box right there!

I’ve heard good things about MyChelle skincare and I’ve been wanting to try it out, so I’m stoked that I got this in the box (That’s the good thing about subscription boxes! You get good samples to try out). This retails for $44 so it’s a total steal, since that’s more than what the box costs and it’s a full size product! They suggest using this in the morning after cleansing and moisturizer (if you’re planning on layering). I’ve used it a couple times and I’m still waiting to see results, but so far so good.

Lastly is this nailpolish from Cote. Cote is toxin free nail polish brand that has loads of colors. Their polishes seem to run for $18 each, which isn’t extremely bad for an indie brand. I got the color No. 4 and it looks really good! I like the subtle hints of shimmer, so it’s definitely an everyday color.

Overall, I’m pretty pleased with this Love Goodly box, as I have been with the ones in the past 🙂

Thanks for reading, as always <3

Love Goodly October/November 2016 Unboxing

by

2016-11-05-08-39-46

Hey loves! This is the second Love Goodly box I got and I’m still really loving the subscription service 🙂 It’s a bi-monthly box ($29.95 USD) and you get 4-5 products in the box and it has a value of over $85 each time that are eco-friendly, cruelty free and non-toxic.

2016-11-05-08-40-12

Here are the cards that came in the box, this box was actually curated by Sunny from Vegan Beauty Review! She featured some of her favorite products inside the box so I’m excited to try them out.

2016-11-05-08-41-04

Here are all my goodies! I got a stick deodorant from Blisoma, a single eyeshadow from Lippy Girl, a Lemon Poppy Seed bar from Rawxies, face wash from Linne and a super cute gold foil tattoo!

2016-11-05-08-41-35

This bar from Rawxie is a great treat and surprisingly, it was really tasty. I love finding new snacks through these boxes, so I will keep my eye out for these at the grocery store!

2016-11-05-08-42-02

I love natural deodorants (I’m sure you’re like “Rae, we know. We get it.” but I just want to make sure that you know!) I haven’t heard of Blissoma before so I am excited to try this one out. I do believe it has baking soda in it (which I react not so nicely to) but I am willing to give it a try. I currently love my current deodorant so I’ll try this one out when I run out of my other one.

2016-11-05-08-42-49

This face wash from Linne is actually a double duty product – it’s also a mask! It’s full size and is $58, so I’m pretty pleased with it just knowing that. Sunny raved about it so I am excited to try it out, I’ll let you know what I think of it!

2016-11-05-08-43-55 2016-11-05-08-44-27

Here is the single eyeshadow from Lippy Girl, it’s called Hello Bardot and is obviously black. I personally am not a fan of dark eyeshadows unless they’re brown, but I might be able to use this at some point. Maybe for a soft eyeliner look? 🙂 It’s not too pigmented but that’s also kind of a good thing since black shadows can create quite the mess!

2016-11-05-08-43-28And lastly, this super awesome temporary tat with the LoveGoodly logo! I’m not sure if I’ll ever use it, but it’s super cute LOL.
