Hey lovelies! If you’ve been here for a while, you know how I suffer from dry skin, so I thought I would share with you the products I’ve been loving to keep it under control. These aren’t drugstore products, but they’re worth ordering online and paying a few extra bucks to get high quality cruelty free products!
MORNING ROUTINE
Tarte Deep Dive Cleansing Gel | $25
One of the things that’s most important for your skin is to clean it, but some cleansers can leave you feeling dry and make your skin conditions worse BUT this deep dive cleansing gel from Tarte is fabulous for dry skin. I’m so happy that they released the Rainforest of the Sea collection because the products from the line are pretty great. This cleanser removes stubborn waterproof makeup and deeply cleanses, while the skin loving ingredients replenish the skin to leave you with a brighter complexion! I love starting off my skin care regime with this.MyChelle Perfect C Serum | $44 (I got this full size version in a Love Goodly box!)
I feel like a lot of people are afraid to use serums but they can be really good for your skin. This serum is pricey, but a little bit goes a long way so it is worth it in my opinion. It helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, brighten the skin and protect from photo-damage. You only need to use one pump and I use the palms of my hands to press it into my skin and you can layer this with other serums, which is cool too.
Derma E Hydrating Day Creme | $30
I have to give this product a lot of props. I received this as a gift from Derma E to review, which you can read here and it’s something that I’m still using! I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out. It’s vegan and cruelty free and doesn’t irritate my skin like other moisturizers I’ve tried. After applying the vitamin C serum, I apply this. You don’t need a ton of product for your skin to feel hydrated. It also plumps the skin to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, so when paired with the serum it kicks wrinkles’ butts. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a new moisturizer. It’s a little bit heavy at first, but soaks into the skin in minutes. I can’t live without it now, it’s that good.
NIGHTTIME ROUTINE
So, after my morning routine is done, I finish my day then it’s time to start my nighttime routine. I normally don’t wear foundation lately (just because I’m at work a lot, but as school comes around – I most likely will be), so it’s not necessary for me to do a deep cleanse like I do in the morning. I opt for the Alba Botanica Hawaiian 3-in-1 Wipes (which I can usually find at TJ Maxx or Marshalls for $4 a package) to use on my face. They remove makeup, cleanse the skin and act as a toner. I really like them because they leave my skin feeling clean and fresh without too much effort. I like to use the e.l.f. Makeup Cleansing Cloths to remove my eye makeup because they’re gentle! For days that I do wear a full face of makeup though, I do use a liquid facial cleanser to make sure there’s no residue left on my skin.
Zabana Essentials Lavender Lemongrass Face + Body Tonic | $13
I use this face and body tonic from Zabana when I feel like I need something, you know what I mean? I especially like to use this at night since the lavender is so calming and helps me relax. I spray this on and let it soak in before putting on my nighttime moisturizer.
Derma E Hydrating Night Cream | $30
Here we go with another product targeted to hydrating the skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (I better not have a damn wrinkle for my whole life). Hyaluronic acid is my favorite and when I was using a gel moisturizer with HA being the main ingredient in it, I got so many compliments on my skin. It gives you a brighter and younger looking appearance and leaves your skin soooo soft. It’s a must have in my skin regime and I’d be lost without it. My skin looks so good the next morning and I love waking up feeling great.
Lanoliné Manuka Honey Eye Cream | $10-$12
I picked up this gem from Marshalls one night and I’m really glad I did. It’s formulated to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and hydrates the under eye area. I also like this because it helps to make me look more awake, since it has a plumping effect on the skin. I use this at night since I’ve discovered that it doesn’t sit well under makeup. You just need a little dip on your finger for both eyes so a little bit goes a long way.
EXTRAS
I didn’t know where to add this into the post, so I’ll just call it an extra! This is a “scrublet” (I guess that’s what you call it?) that I got in a set of two from TJ Maxx. I really like using this with the Deep Dive Cleansing Gel for a deeper clean. The little nubs help to knock out dirt from your pores and really get into all of the nooks & crannies of your face. They also act as a gentle exfoliator so your dry skin will vanish, woot wooot.
Derma E Purifying Daily Detox Scrub | $15
I also didn’t know where to add this since it’s not something I use daily, but I do use it when I feel like I need something else and a good exfoliation. It has a really cool cooling effect on the skin and works really well. I feel like it gives me a radiant look after using it, so that’s another reason why I like it.
I think that’s pretty much all I use on a daily/semi-daily basis. What’s your favorite skincare product? Let me know in the comments! 🙂
I hope you enjoyed the post!
Thanks so much for reading, as always <3
