Thinking about creating your own beauty line? It’s best to start with one product and perfect it. Then you can move onto other things. If you’re not too sure where to start – here are some ideas.
False Lashes
You can never have too many lashes out there, but what will make yours unique; is bringing something new to the table. Sketch out some ideas, try and create a new look. If you already have some lashes, play around with them, (a snip here and a snip there,) or even stack them up and layer them on top of each other. Find something you like the look of, and then get creating!
Lipstick
Lipsticks can be very fun to design; there are so many choices that you have! Do you want a matte look or a shimmer? Glossy or glitter? Then think about colour. You don’t necessarily have to stay within the lines – you can make blues, greens, and purples if you like! But if you want to make a good living, think about what will sell. What do people want to see on the market? Classic Cosmetics helps with manufacturing your lipsticks, so have a plan in mind before you get talking to people.
Eyeshadow
Bronze, gold, silver, purple, blue, burgundy, black or pink? Cream based or powder based? The list goes on! The possibilities are endless! These are all the sorts of questions you will need to start asking yourself. Buy different products and compare them with one another, decide what makes the other one better. Do whatever you can to learn why you favour one more than the other. By doing this, it will give you ideas for how you want your own product to be (and why.)
Foundation
The best way to be successful when making foundations – is variety! Admittedly, there are finally a range of colours for the darker skinned girls out there (there only used to be 2 different shades!!) – but – there still isn’t enough! Make a range that covers every possible skin colour, and you’ll be the winner. Then think about different skin types, (dry and oily,) do you want to cater to different needs? Or do you just prefer to stay simple? (Remember the more you cover, the better chance you’ll have at being successful!) Also what kind of coverage do you want your foundation to be, full or really light? And last but not least, what finish do you want it to have? A luminous glow? A matte finish? Or a natural sheen?
Once you have made your mind up on all these subjects – then you can meet a manufacturer.
Now you have some ideas of where to start, have a good think about what you would like to focus on first. Just make sure, whatever product you decide on, don’t choose the first manufacturer you meet, make appointments with a few and see who shares your vision best. Then make some testers and see if it’s what you had in mind.
I hope you enjoyed the post! <3
Thanks for reading, as always 🙂
