As a makeup lover, you know how much of a struggle it is not to buy everything you see…but I always have the fear of buying a full sized product then hating it. That’s why I love when higher end companies have sampler packages of their products or smaller sized products that are more affordable. I have been dying to try the Too Faced Better Than Sex perfume so I did some researching. The full size is $23/.27 oz and they have a deluxe sample of it for $12/.17 oz. So rather than me paying $23 for the full size, or $12 just for one product, I decided to purchase their Beauty Blogger Darling set that includes 4 deluxe samples of their products. It’s $20 and you get a deluxe Better Than Sex Mascara (full size $24), a deluxe sample of the Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer (full size $30), a deluxe sample of the Shadow Insurance shadow primer (full size $20) and the Primed & Poreless face primer (full size $30). Upon purchasing these, I was also able to pick two samples of more products so I picked the deluxe sample of the La Crème lipstick in the color Naked Dolly and I also picked the sample sheet of the Chocolate Soliel bronzers.
It came in this super cute pink box that was full of pink paper worms (as Bunny calls them). Everything was just kind of in the box, but I didn’t expect anything else. I got a 20% Missguided coupon with my order, which was nice too!
So here’s the main attraction. This includes all of the deluxe samples that I wanted, they came in this nice box set. It has bloggers/youtubers reviews of the products, which I like.
Here is the Chocolate Soliel bronzer swatched on my pale skin, I’m not too sure if the color is going to work for my fair skin, but if not, it would be a great eyeshadow color for me. It has an amazingly smooth texture and is fully pigmented. I can’t wait to try it out.
I think their packaging is too cute (I say cute too much, oh well). It’s very chic and vintage like but also elegant and UGH I just love it. So here are the two primers, I have tried the eye shadow primer already and I really liked it. It’s flesh toned (which I like) and applies like a dream. It makes your shadow last and stay vibrant and it really helps with blending. I haven’t used the face primer yet, but I am excited since it is a skin smoothing one and the pores on my nose could use some help. I’ll let you know if I end up liking it!
Drumroll please…this is by far the most amazing mascara I have ever tried in my life. Just look at that wand. It’s so dense and full and oh my god. I need 25 of the full sized version, pronto. This mascara applies very nicely without getting super clumpy after the first sweeps through the lashes. You can really build up the volume and length with this mascara and it is now my holy grail. It does a flake a little throughout the day, but it really makes your eyelashes pop and that’s why I love it.
Here’s a comparison of my bare lashes, curled bare lashes, curled lashes with one coat and curled lashes with two coats. (Sorry for the poor lighting, but I hope it helps!)
Lastly, here is the deluxe sample of the La Crème lipstick in Naked Dolly (this one was not included in the set, but was an additional sample with my purchase). I love the packaging, it’s very elegant and stylish. I love the colored aluminum, it just feels so nice to the touch (am I making sense?) It also applies so smooth and it’s a great nude shade, I like the creamy/glossy look it gives, it’s going to my go to color in the spring.
Here’s a swatch on the back of my hand.
That’s all for this post today! I hope you enjoyed it. Let me know if you’ve used these products before and if any of them are your favorites 🙂
*All of the products were purchased with my OWN money and no one is asking me to do this review, just want to share my findings on products. All opinions are my own, as well as pictures.
