Hey lovelies! If you’ve been around for a while, you have probably seen my past post about Profusion cosmetics, if not – you can check it out here (I hope my picture taking has improved…) Well, I was lucky enough to be chosen again for their Insider Program! They sent me some new goodies (that don’t even seem to be on their website yet!) to try out and talk about what I like or what I don’t like. If you’re interested in hearing about some affordable makeup products, then keep on reading.
Eep! I love the packaging on this makeup palette. It’s quite large and has lots of products in it. I love the cheetah print on the package, you think it would look cheesy – but it really doesn’t. I think it gives it a nice feminine look! This palette has 35 eyeshadows, 10 lip glosses, 2 blushes, 1 bronzer + highlight, a couple small brushes and a wood eyeliner pencil.
I swear I took these pictures in natural daylight, but these pictures don’t seem to be doing the colors in this palette any justice. (I promise, they are a lot more vibrant in person!) I love the variety of colors in the shadows, you get a mix of mattes, shimmers and glitters. You have lots of options to make a bunch of looks! You get 10 lip glosses, (I’m not a huge fan of glosses + I swatched one of them and it wasn’t too pigmented) in a bunch of different colors to pair with your eye look. One of the blushes is a bright pink and would be great for glam looks and the other blush is more of a natural looking color, so it would be perfect for everyday looks. (P.s. they’re matte blushes too!) The bronzer is a nice cool toned brown, that’s not too light or too dark and the highlight shade is a little bit too dark for my skin tone (I would really call this just like a face powder). These are matte too! I ended up mixing the “highlight” and bronzer together to create a lighter color, I like the way it turned out. Here are some swatches…
Here are some eyeshadow swatches (don’t mind the eczema on my arm lol). The colors are pigmented and very smooth, there was a little fall out but that’s fine with me. The colors are super buildable and look great. I think the peachy-pastel pink is my favorite but I need to test out some other colors too! (The pastel purple reminds me of the Wet N Wild spring eye trio, anyone else?)
Here’s a swatch of the bronzer (just by itself, not mixed) and the natural blush color. These are super smooth! I love them.
Overall, I’m pretty pleased with this palette. I probably won’t be using the lip glosses, but that’s just me. I love the variety of shadow colors and how you can create a whole look without having to grab another palette (that’s what really sold me).
I also got this set of 6 precision gel eyeliners, which I’m pretty excited to use. You get a matte black, matte brown, a bronze, gold, rose gold and a shimmery white liner.
Here’s the packaging. I like the silver finish on these!
Here are the swatches of the liners: (bottom – top: black, brown, bronze, gold, rose gold, creamy beige). The brown was a little patchy and rough to lay down some color, but it eventually worked. I really like the shimmery liners, even though I think the colors could be better related to the liner names (if that makes sense…) The rose gold is more of a pale pink, but I’m okay with that. I don’t have these colors in my collection so I’m excited to play around with them. They say that they’re waterproof on the packaging, but I do have to disagree because they wiped off instantly with a makeup wipe, while ones from other brands that I have stay a little bit longer. I would recommend setting these with powder to get them to stay a little bit longer! They do glide smoothly, which I like and lay down enough color that’s noticeable.
Overall, I think these liners are okay. I wish some of them had a little more color impact and we’re more durable (pigmentation wise).
This is the PRO Concealer kit! It has 5 different shades of concealers, 1 banana shade, 3 skin tone shades and a salmon color. The banana shade is good to brighten up areas on the skin, the skin tone ones are obviously there to conceal any unwanted marks on your face and the salmon one is good to color correct dark circles. Since I’m so pale, I used the third concealer in to cover up my dark circles with the brush in the kit and it worked really well! These are super creamy, they remind me of butter. I really like these! I just wish it would have included a green concealer and maybe a lavender one, rather than 3 skin tone shades. But overall, I think this is a great little kit to have to make your makeup look fabulous.
Here are swatches (they are swatched opposite of the way they appear in the palette). The banana shade almost doesn’t show up on me haha! I think the salmon shade would have been too dark for me to cover up my dark circles, but I think you can do a lot with this kit.
Overall, I love it! I think it’s super handy and I will be putting it to good use.
What do you guys think? Do you want to hear more about these products in a video, or tutorial? Let me know!
