Hey guys! I’m back with another review of a couple of new products in my life! Skincare is really important to me, especially since it’s the largest organ in (or on) our bodies. Your skin is your protective boundary and you should take special care of it. I’m young (19, almost 20!) so I don’t really have to worry about having lots of fine lines or wrinkles, but I do have a few and there’s nothing wrong with trying to prevent them at an early age. I understand that certain anti-aging products can make your skin more sensitive to the sun but when you use them sparingly, they can really work.
Valentia is a company that uses natural and organic ingredients that will protect and repair the skin. Their products are natural, paraben free and free of toxins – plus they are cruelty free! In this post, I will be reviewing Valentia’s True Glow Eye Cream & Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask.
True Glow Eye Cream ($54.99 but on sale for $25.00)
“Say goodbye to tired eyes. This nourishing formula works fast to repair and refresh the eye area while protecting skin from the usual suspects of aging. Our natural and organic ingredients work to calm and reduce puffiness in the eye area revealing softer, more refreshed looking eyes. With continued use of this antioxidant treatment, you will start noticing a more rejuvenated, radiant, and brighter under eye area.” (From their website)
This product contains Vitamin C, which leaves your skin smooth and visibly brighter which is something that I love about it. Since I’m so pale, I always have dark circles under my eyes. After using this product morning and night for the past week, I have noticed a great difference. Although I’m a very tired college kid, my eyes seem to say other wise! This product has helped to brighten my eye area and has kept my eye area super hydrated, thanks to the organic rosehip oil that’s in it. This product has a pleasant smell and isn’t irritating on the skin, which is something I’m always worried about when trying new products since I have ultra sensitive skin. I have used other eye creams and they’ve irritated my eyes, so I’m glad that this didn’t. It is a little pricey, but is totally worth it in my opinion.
Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask ($54.99 but on sale for $25.00)
“The perfect answer to your dry skin problems. This hydration mask features a unique blend of amino acids and potent antioxidants, like Japanese Green tea and Aloe Vera, to reduce fine lines, increase collagen production, and fight environmental irritants. Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, and Sea Buckthorn Oil flood skin with vital moisture, creating softer more supple skin. Treat your delicate facial skin with nature’s most nourishing ingredients, and instantly restore radiance.” (From their website)
I suffer from dry skin year round, but in the winter it’s absolutely brutal. Sometimes I get cracks around my nose since it’s so dry. This product helps to keep your skin soft, smooth and hydrated. It has hyaluronic acid in it, which penetrates deeply into the skin to lock in the moisture and plump the skin from the inside out. I’m not sure how often you’re supposed to use this product, but I’ve been doing it twice a week, keeping it on for 10 mins each application rather than the 15-30 mins that they recommend. It tingled my skin a little bit and it felt slightly tight (probably from the aloe vera!) but it wasn’t unpleasant. After I washed it off with warm water, I examined my skin and it felt amazing. So smooth and soft, I didn’t even have to put my daily moisturizer on right away like I usually do with other masks. It also helped to reduce the redness on my face that happens randomly. Again, I have super sensitive skin and this mask didn’t irritate it or make my skin problems worse. It has a great smell and the consistency reminds me of pudding (anyone else?). It’s easy to apply and easy to take off. Will be incorporating this into my daily routine!
Overall: I really liked these products! They worked well on my skin and I’m pleased with the results. I will continue to use them and will keep you updated on my progress with the products.
