Summer Tops That You Need In Your Closet

Hey my loves! It’s been a while since I did a fashion/style related post so I thought I would whip one up for you today. Is anyone else loving the off the shoulder trend like I am? I remember when I used to wear tube tops all the time when I was younger but I honestly haven’t worn something off the shoulder in a long time. After browsing online (which inspired this post) I fell in love with so many tops and picked some to show you guys to maybe give you some inspiration and some of my tips to make sure that you’re rockin’ these summer tops!

Forever 21 // Off-the-Shoulder Pom Pom Top // $19.90

This top is so cute I love the colors and the pom pom details. I think this would look great with a pair of black jean shorts or white shorts, or maybe you could get festive and rock them with red shorts for the fourth of July!

Question is, do you wear a bra with this? YES! And I know how hard it is to find a strapless bra that works for you and actually fits well that is also well made. But, I know a site that offers strapless bras in HALF cup sizes and band sizes 32-40, so you’re going to find a strapless bra for you and you’re going to L.O.V.E. it. I’m a 32 C but have always felt that the cup is too small for me so I love that they offer half sizes so I know that my girls won’t be popping out (which is the last thing I want, lol).

This top is giving me 90’s vibes. I love the black and white stripes and I’m a fan of square neck tops, but sometimes don’t know whether to wear a bra with straps, a bralette or a strapless bra with them. This one is made out of a knit material so if you’re constantly pulling up your strapless bra you’re going to stretch the shirt out…that’s why I’ll suggest wearing a cute lacey bralette with this type of top OR this strapless bra since it doesn’t slip! Pair this top with some denim shorts for an edgy look.

 

 

 

Frankie Phoenix // Smitten Tube Top // $15

This muted pink color is totally in right now and I’m loving the trend. It’s a delicate top but I love it. Really feminine with the ruffles and the color. You could wear this with a statement necklace, denim shorts, and a wide brim straw hat (do you call them floppy hats?) This top could be worn braless or with a nude strapless bra. It’s the same material as the previous top so with the strapless bra you won’t have to worry about stretching the fabric.

 

 

Francesca’s // Calli Embroidered Yoke Baby Bell Sleeve Top // $38

Lastly, my favorite top! I love the embroidered details, which are also huge this summer. The lace on the sleeves will keep the top breathable and the white won’t attract as much heat like it would if you were wearing black. I think this shirt would look super cute with denim shorts and you could easily use it as a transition piece into the fall since the embroidered patches are fall-esque. I would recommend wearing a nude strapless bra with this one since white can sometimes be see through and you don’t want your straps to show through the lace (although it’s not a huge deal, but it would look more put together!)
