Small Birthday Haul

Hey lovelies! Sorry for being MIA for a few days, I needed to get caught up with homework and I just needed some time to unwind.

So my 20th birthday was on Tuesday, and it’s so weird to think that I’m that old now (I know that’s not really that old, but dang). I didn’t have anything planned that day, besides going to class. I woke up early, took a shower, ate breakfast then went to class. My friends had asked me what I wanted to do which I thought was really sweet, because I was honestly just gonna spend my night watching YouTube videos or doing homework. I decided to go to the mall, since I just wanted to spend some money on myself (which is something that I do WAY too often). We went to Panera bread for dinner, I got the half kale chicken caesar salad, half sierra turkey sandwich, bread and an iced chai latte. The salad was amazing, as well as the sandwich which is always my favorite.

After we finished eating, we went to Old Navy to browse, I wanted some new jeans since I’ve been sticking to alternating between 3 pairs now. They had some cute boyfriend jeans and a good sale on them, so I took them into the dressing room and I unfortunately hated how they looked on me. I’m super picky with clothing. I can go into TJ Maxx, grab 50 items, and only come out with 3 that I absolutely love. (I need to start only buying items that I love). After Old Navy, we went to Victoria’s Secret since I needed to replace two bras that were in bad shape, I luckily had a $20 gift card from Christmas so I only spent $25 on two bras and I’m so glad I did. They’re so much more comfortable than the others! We went to Pac Sun and Maurices where I couldn’t find anything I liked. We then went to Rue 21 where I tried on a few things and ended up with one dress that’s super cute and I can’t wait to wear. Then lastly, we went to Sephora so I could get my free birthday gift and while I was there, I may have splurged on an eyeshadow palette…

My friend Rachel has the Natural Matte palette and she loves it, so I thought I would invest in it too. Too Faced has so many beautiful palettes, it was hard to choose which one I wanted. I love the Chocolate Bar palettes, but they were a little bit too expensive for me so I opted for this one. It has 9 gorgeous matte shadows that I can’t wait to play with. I was also able to get a Marc Jacobs sample gift, which has an eyeliner and lipstick. (I read online that Marc Jacobs does not test on animals before I went in to redeem my gift!)

Ain’t she just so beautiful?! The palette had an eye look guide in it, and I like that its in trios so you can easily create a look with just the three colors or mix and match them.

The lipstick from Marc Jacobs is a really pretty color and the eyeliner is a deep dark black. I’m excited to try these out.

So that’s what I got from the mall, but of course I had to do some online shopping. I picked up tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea foundation and concealer which should be arriving in the mail soon and I also picked up a Madam Glam one step Gel nail polish. I will definitely update you guys on these products and I’ll let you know if I like them!
