If you have colored hair or bleached/highlighted hair, you know how much it makes your hair feel stringy and brittle after each wash. (Plus having hard water doesn’t help my hair at all!) I’m always looking for new shampoos that are cruelty free, inexpensive, sulfate AND paraben free…call me high maintenance I guess but I have reasons for all these wants! I have very fine, brittle and dry hair that is very dull (for whatever reason). I’ve tried hair oils and hair treatments and nothing has really seemed to help my hair problems. I’m really excited to share with you my holy grail hair products that have changed my hair game. Guys, I can’t contain my excitement. These products are just TOO great.
HASK Beauty is a company that creates hair products which feature exotic oils from all around the world. They use high quality ingredients and amazing fragrances for all of their products. You WILL get salon quality results at an affordable price, you literally can’t go wrong. All of HASK’s products are cruelty free and they have something for everyone. You have curly hair? They have a collection just for that! Frizzy dry hair or wavy and knotty hair? They’ve got you’ve covered.
I was able to try their Monoi Coconut Oil collection and holy moly. My hair has never felt so great. This collection includes a shampoo & conditioner, nourishing deep conditioner and a nourishing shine oil. The oil and deep conditioner are sold in smaller sizes if you wanted to try those out first before buying a full product (but you should just buy the full size anyway cause these products are great!)
The Monoi Coconut Oil Nourishing Shampoo retails for $5.99 at Ulta. It is infused with monoi oil, which will soften your hair, the blend of Tahitian gardenias and coconut oil will hydrate and strengthen your hair while gently cleansing your hair so you won’t be stripping the natural oils which you need. Your hair will be soft, strong and extremely hydrated after using this product. (Who doesn’t want that?) This shampoo smells natural – and not in a bad way. There is no overwhelming fragrance (which I hate) but does leave your hair smelling fresh and clean. Reminds me of coconut (lol duh!) It is a white liquid product, (imagine just regular coconut oil in solid form but also in shampoo form, you get what I’m sayin’?) that creates a nice lather without you having to do much work. Rinses out very well and doesn’t leave your hair feeling weighed down. I only shampoo once a time in the shower (I know people who shampoo it more than once, so not sure if that would be different).
The Monoi Coconut Oil Nourishing Conditioner is also $5.99 at Ulta. Just like the shampoo, this conditioner is infused with monoi oil, Tahitian gardenia blends and contains coconut oil. This conditioner is so amazing. I’ve used other conditioners that claimed they were going to leave my hair knot free and nourished and did quite the opposite. This is the only conditioner that has made my hair free of knots when I get out of the shower, which if you struggle with that, use this product! I’ve also had trouble with conditioners making my hair look greasy the next morning and I haven’t had this problem with this conditioner. It gives the right amount of shine and softness. It also makes my hair easier to style and brush through. I’m kind of mad at myself that I didn’t try these products sooner, cause like I said before, they’ve totally changed my hair game.
If you hair is still thirsty, try the Monoi Coconut Oil Nourishing Deep Conditioner. This is sold in a one-time-use package but is also sold in a 6 oz tube. The one time package retails at $2.99 and the full size is $5.99 at Ulta, so I guess it’s up to you to see what’s the better deal for you. You apply a generous amount (if you have shorter hair, you might be able to get two uses out of the package if you store it properly) of the deep conditioner to your clean, wet hair. Massage it into your hair and focus on your ends or wherever you have damage on your lovely locks. Keep this bad boy on for 10 minutes then rinse well. I LOVE deep conditioners, especially in the winter since my hair gets so dry and staticy (biggest pain in the world). This is an amazing product because it doesn’t leave me greasy and the results last for a while. It looks like I just walked out of the salon with an oil treatment. Leaves my hair so smooth and shiny, totally frizz free too. I love how this deep conditioner revitalizes my hair without weighing me down or leaving me greasy so that no amounts of dry shampoo will save me. I think this is a MUST HAVE. If you’re into pampering yourself, or you’re going to have a girls night, stock up on these and pamper your hair because it needs pampering sometimes too!
Okay, now that your hair is shiny and smooth, what more could you want? MORE SHINE, WITHOUT LOOKING LIKE A PIZZA! I’ve used hair oils before and nothing compares to this one. They’ve all left me with weird oil spots in my hair and didn’t give me the end result I was looking for. The Monoi Coconut Oil Nourishing Shine Oil is just what you need and I’m being serious. The vial retails at $2.99 and the full size is $5.99 at Ulta. It’s a lightweight, alcohol free oil that instantly absorbs into your hair to give gorgeous shiny without any oily residue. The Monoi Oil is known for it’s hydrating and softening properties that leaves your hair nourished and revitalized. Use on wet or dry hair to create a smooth silky finish. Avoid the root area and style your hair as desired.
HASK has lots of different hair collections; I’m sure you will find one that will suit you. The Monoi Coconut Oil collection is for all hair types and it moisturizes & revitalizes without leaving your hair oily or heavy. I highly recommend these products to anyone looking to save a few bucks on higher end products, since you get the same salon results without the cost. Plus, they’re cruelty free and that’s something more people should be looking into and aware of.
I also got this super cute HASK brush that has two different kinds of bristles which helped to tame some of my fly aways. It’s on the smaller side so it’s easy to toss in my bag!
I hope you guys liked my post and are enjoying my blog. I’ve been trying to get to post more in between classes, homework and working but obviously I still struggle with that.
Let me know in the comments below what your favorite hair care products are, I’d love to hear all about it! Also let me know if you’ve heard of HASK, have used them or if you want to use them now. 🙂
Xoxo, Rae
