Hey guys! While I was home for the night I thought I would show you what my everyday makeup routine is (when I actually feel like putting makeup on!) Sorry that the lighting is awful and that I kept getting out of frame, I’m still new to filming and getting it just right. But I hope you enjoy and if you want to know what I used or what I did, then read below the jump!
So after applying my moisturizer and letting it soak in, I generously mist my face with elf’s makeup mist & set spray (I apply it before just to add some dewyness to my face, which makes applying foundation easier on my dry skin). I let that dry and soak in then I take my wet Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and use that to apply my Flower Cosmetics Foundation in the shade LF1. I make sure to blend that down my neck and blend it out well! I let that sit for a little bit then apply a translucent powder (which will remain unnamed since it is not cruelty free – just trying to finish up my products!!!).
After my face is all powdered and ready to go, I move to the eyes (my favorite part!) I grab the Milani Shadow Eyez pencil in the color Almond Cream (which I first heard about from Kathleen Lights & I LOVE it! It’s a great creamy base with a color that will help to cancel veiny eyelids.) I apply that all over the lid and blend it out with my finger. I love love love love love my Carli Bybel Palette from bh Cosmetics. It’s my go-to and I don’t know what I would do without it. It has a mix of matte shadows and shimmers, plus 4 awesome highlighters. It’s only $12.50 and totally worth it. So get it. Now! Anyways, I grab the lightest matte shade in the palette and pat it all over my lid, up to the brow bone. I then take the next lightest matte shade (sort of a light tan/brown) and apply that at an angle into my crease. (I recently found this tip out from this video and I’m so glad I did! It’s such a life changer.) After that, I grab the satin-y brown shade from the palette (sometimes I go for the maroon but usually the brown color) and apply that to my crease again, but mainly focusing it on the outer v and I use this color to darken up the crease. I take a large fluffy blending brush that’s clean and blend out the shadow on the edges so there are no harsh lines. I rarely wear winged liner/top liner cause I suck at it so I use my theBalm Mr. Write (Now) eyeliner in Jac B. Bronze, which is a gorgeous shimmery gold/bronze that compliments the matte shadows nicely. I apply this to my lower and upper water line (is this tightlining? Sure we’ll go with that) Then I apply it to my lower lash line and blend it out, I like the look that the liner gives cause it makes my lashes look fuller or something I’m not too sure, it just looks great. I curl my lashes a few times and apply my Long Sexxy Lashes mascara from bh Cosmetics and thoroughly coat both the top and bottom lashes.
Finally, lips. I try to keep it simple on days where I have eyeshadow on, so my go to color is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm which is a fabulous color.
Annnnd that’s all I do! I finish my face with a generous mist of the elf makeup mist & setting spray and on my way I go! I’m hoping to eventually add bronzer and blush into my routine, I just haven’t mastered it yet.
