Hey my loves! Today is a guest post by Mia Taylor about hairstyles that are perfect for summer, keep on reading to find a new hairstyle for you!Well, if none of us have ever been to hell (we’ll just assume you haven’t, either), we can go there now by just stepping outside! This crazy heat wave has gotten us all woozy, so if you’re constantly feeling tired, bloated and moody, it’s the weather! Naturally, this weird emotional spiral goes hand in hand with having enough enthusiasm to do something about your clothes, your makeup and hair – no, it’s not unusual to see any of us just walk out of the house makeup-less, with our hair in a bun.
Still, being girly and all that, we have to keep up an image even when our bodies are melting, don’t we? Ah, we do, we do… Opting for an easy-to-make hairstyle for which you don’t need any kind of iron, curler, or anything else to add additional heat is the best thing you can do. On the other hand, dealing with humidity in summer is nothing short of hell for most women (especially for all of us who are naturally curly). Also, a shorter do will help get your hair out of your face, neck, and back, making it possible to feel a bit cooler while still looking amazing. With that in mind, here is a checklist of hairdos you can take into consideration.
The easiest way to get your hair out of your way is to opt for a bun. Luckily, the easiest, and perhaps most effective summer hairstyle is a double bun style. You don’t really need anything but your hands, a lot of hair, some hair rubber and a bit of imagination.
Most people associate top knot hairstyles with messy hair, lack of imagination, and laziness. Whoever’s ever tried this hairdo knows this could not be further from the truth. Plus, as some celebrities have already shown, a top knot style can go a long way.
You have no clue what to do with your hair? Then try the ponytail, it is simple and effective, which is exactly what you need from time to time. It is easy to make, and all it takes is a cute hair band to hold everything in place. Moreover, it allows you to decorate your hair with almost anything – from glittery ornaments to flower pieces – for a nice twist on the ponytail look.
A gravity-defying hairstyle is just what you need to keep all your hair out of your face. For all of you girls with gorgeous, long hair – braids do the ultimate trick. However, a French twist is not at all easy to pull off, especially if it’s not in its top shape (clean and styled). Nevertheless, with the help of a good-quality dry shampoo, you can quickly style the hair up and give it a twist that will add volume to your hair while keeping it sleek and chic.
A pull-through braid is great for those who have a lot of hair to deal with. It allows you to put all your hair in place, leaving you with enough breathing room. It also looks stylish, which is great, since it requires a bit of patience to make. Also, it can last a couple of days, so you don’t have to redo it every day.
Instead of thinking of cutting your hair, since it is too hot for long hair in summer, opt for a few easy hairstyles that are guaranteed to give you a great look. And in the meantime, you will be able to reduce the heat from all that hair being everywhere. For any hairstyle you choose, you only need a few necessities, which you probably already have in your bathroom.
Which hairstyle is your favorite?! Mine is definitely a top knot! Let me know in the comments 🙂 and a big thank you to Mia for writing this to share with us! Make sure to check out her Twitter and Facebook below.
