It’s right about now that we all start to think about the New Year that’s rapidly approaching. How do we what it to go? What do we want for ourselves in the New Year? How can we make the most of the next twelve months? The questions come and go as we envision the year ahead and hope for the best.
But, why stop there. Why think only about the next twelve months and not the rest of our lives? Some resolutions are timely and were made for 2017, but some are so much more than that. If you want to start living awesomely for the rest of your life, these are the resolutions you should start sticking to now!
Count Your Blessings
First of all, be thankful. Think about the things you have in your life that you’re grateful. The things that we couldn’t be without, including people, memories and opportunities are second to none. Remember that. Each and every day, wake up thankful for the path you’ve walked. The lessons you’ve learned and qualities you’ve gained. Mindfulness can be an excellent way to do this for a few minutes every day. When you’re thankful for what you have, you can work on getting what you want.
Be Kinder To Yourself
We’re tough on ourselves far too often. We scrutinize our actions, replay events and wonder ‘what if’ more than is necessary. In fact, none of it is necessary. Life isn’t perfect, so you shouldn’t have to be. Be nicer to yourself and take it easy. You have to live with yourself for the rest of your life, so make it an enjoyable ride. Self-love is a rewarding way of taking better care of yourself. Start it today and show yourself a lot more kindness. It’ll improve just about every area of your life if you do.
Supercharge Your Skincare Routine
Suffering from bad skin is awful for everyone. No matter if you’re young or old, male or female, nobody likes to have spots. They’re frustrating, gross and depressing. Lifestyle choices, the foods we eat and how we eat them, all contribute to a crazy metabolism. It could be too fast or too slow, either way, it’s not doing your any favors. If you’re struggling to lose weight (or keep it on), you’re going to want to reset your metabolism ASAP. You can do these by having lots of smaller meals throughout the day, rather than three larger ones. Try to eat six times a day. Make sure your portions are grazing size and packed with nutritional goodness and you’ll start to see a difference in not only your weight but your overall appearance too.
