Hey lovelies! Today’s post is going to be about some brushes that Bdellium was nice enough to send me to try out and let you ladies know what I think of them!
Bdellium carries professional eco friendly tools that are 100% cruelty free and have hypoallergenic bristles. They have a variety of brushes ranging from special effects, travel size and a studio line + more. I also think that they are affordable for the quality that you get, because they are pretty amazing.
“Creates the perfect light finish with the versatility of being able to blend face powder and water-based foundation beautifully.”
First up is the Green Bambu 955 Brush ($14), which is a finishing brush. It has a really nice bamboo handle and super soft synthetic bristles. The brush isn’t dense, so it’s really great for applying powder to set/finish your face. I used this brush with my bareMinerals to set my foundation, and it did a spectacular job and really created a flawless finish. I also really like the colored bristles (does anyone else think that colored brushes are more fun? No? Just me? Okay…)
I think that this brush is really great and is different than my other finishing brushes. I will definitely keep grabbing this one when doing my makeup!
“The Purple Bambu Sultry Eyes 5 piece Brush Set includes a collection of brushes that are the perfect blending and lining tools you need to create beautiful sultry eyes.”
Next up is the Purple Bambu Sultry Eyes 5pc Brush Set ($30). This set has everything you need to create a complete eye look. The brushes that are included are:
- #783PU Small Tapered Blending
- #777PU Shadow
- #762PU Small Angle
- #716PU Smoky Eyeliner
- #708PU Bent Eyeliner
So you’re really getting a variety of brushes that all do different things (I hate sets that have brushes that do similar things). These brushes are amazing quality, they didn’t shed and aren’t scratchy. They’re perfect for the eyes and I was able to create an edgy look with this set! I’m super stoked to try out the bent eyeliner brush with a gel liner (that I will purchase in the future) because I think it will make applying it a breeze.
I honestly prefer the small tapered blending brush from this set more than I like my Luxie tapered blending brush, which is saying a lot because it was my absolute favorite. This brush is more dense and gives you a high color pay out while still being able to blend your shadows seamlessly. The smoky eyeliner brush is perfect to smoke out the bottom lashline or create a really smoky liner on the top of the lashes.
Overall, I really really really liked this set and think that you should try it out, if you take into consideration that there’s 5 brushes (so $30/5) you’re really only paying $6 per brush which I think is an absolute steal. I know that some companies may have cheaper brushes, but I highly doubt that they could live up to the quality of these brushes.
Check out my most recent video of me using the brushes to create a grunge inspired look!
What do you think of the brushes from bdellium tools? Let me know!
Thanks so much for reading, as always <3
