Hey lovelies! I just received my first Petit Vour box, full of cruelty free & vegan goodies, so I thought I would share it with you.
So, Petit Vour is $15/month (US) or $23/month (Canada) but you can cancel at anytime! You get 4 products (some are generous samples & some are even full sized). Kind of like ipsy, you get points for reviewing items, and making purchases. Everything is non-toxic, cruelty free, vegan & ethically made…it’s honestly a no brainer. (PLUS, you even get 20% back as a store credit whenever you make a purchase with them).
Here’s a closer look at what I got in my box!
I think that the card this month was beautifully illustrated (as they are every month). I love how they tell you what you get, how much it costs if you wanted to purchase the full size, and how to use it.
This is the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel. It’s supposed to exfoliate the skin to help even out texture and tone the skin. It also clears the skin while rejuvenating it with aloe, vitamins & antioxidants. I assumed that this was going to smell like sour green apple (a taste/smell that I hate) but was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t! The smell isn’t really describable, but it’s not foul. I am excited to try this out.
Captain Blankenship Mermaid Sea Salt Hair Spray
Okay, I’m SUPER excited to try this out. I used to love NYM’s sea salt spray, until I found out that it’s pretty toxic (through the Think Dirty app). I am trying to avoid products that are toxic and I’m leaning towards more green products. I love sea salt spray and the texture that it adds to my hair. It pretty much styles your hair effortlessly. I think the label on the bottle is super adorable and I can’t wait to feel like a mermaid when I use it!
Smart Ash Teeth Whitener & Detoxifer
I’m just going to assume that you’ve seen all of these charcoal DIY tutorials on YouTube lately (and if you haven’t there are quite a lot! Ranging from teeth whiteners, to face masks and I’m sure there’s a lot more…) So this is an all natural tooth whitening powder containing activated coconut shell charcoal, bentonite clay, organic orange peel extract, organic frankincense & organic mint extract. I do have some trouble (or insecurities I should say) about my teeth and their color, so I am super stoked to try this out, since I’ve heard that people have had good experiences and results. (Have you tried oil pulling? What are your experiences with that? Let me know!)
And last, but not least is this Ecco Bella Good For You Gloss in the color Peace (they also had the color Power, which is a red but I received Peace in my box). I like the packaging (even though some people might think the mirror is tacky or totally 90’s, but I don’t). It doesn’t smell like cupcakes/vanilla frosting like most glosses do, so I am pleased with that. It does have a lot of shimmer to it, and I can’t tell if I like that yet or not. The gloss isn’t too sticky (although I haven’t tried it on my lips yet, but I feel like I could incorporate it into some cool Aries zodiac look).
Overall, I was pretty pleased with my first Petit Vour box! I will be keeping my subscription for the month of June, but if I’m not too “wowed” by June, I probably will unsubscribe. (I’m definitely not unsubscribing because I didn’t like the products or the box, I think that this box is worth it, I just need to save money instead of spending it. I do enjoy subscription boxes though, since you get a little taste of multiple products, usually for a smaller cost of a full size version of one of the products in the box.)
Are you subscribed to Petit Vour? What did you get in your box this month? (If you aren’t, what did you get in your other monthly subscription box/bag? Let me know :)! )
Thanks so much for reading, I hope you have an awesome day!
Xo, Rae
