Hey loves! So if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you probably already knew that I went to Beautycon NYC a few weeks ago and I had a poll up about whether to do a blog post, a video or both – both ended up winning! The video about my experience is already up, it’s totally out of focus so I apologize but I talk about who I met and show you the products that I got if you’re interested in watching!
Beautycon is a seasonal subscription box but they also have Beautycon Festivals where influencers, beauty lovers and brands all come together. You get to try out new products, get samples of products or buy products you already love and get amazing savings! I had an amazing time and I can’t wait to go to another beauty-related convention.
There are four different packages for tickets: beauty academy, social package, hauler and general admission. Each package allows you to have a special entry time and a tote bag full of goodies except for general admission. I got the hauler package which I definitely recommend if you don’t want to wait in super long lines and you want first dibs on free products!
If you have any of the “VIP” packages, you get a tote bag full of goodies before you even hit any booths and by the end of the day I thought my arm was going to fall off because the bag was so full of stuff. I decided to leave out any brands that are tested on animals that I got in the tote bag, but as you can see, I still did get a lot of cruelty free stuff in my bag – and don’t worry! There was a lot of cruelty free booths as well. All of the items that aren’t cruelty free, I’ll be donating to a battered women’s shelter. I would rather them go to a charitable organization rather than in the garbage. 🙂
These weren’t in the VIP tote bag, but were being given away at the Pretty Little Thing booth!
Overall, I had an amazing time at Beautycon. If I were to go again, I definitely would get a hotel since I was up for 24 hours and had to drive home at 3 am and it was just baaaad. I think being in a hotel would be beneficial so you wouldn’t have to lug your tote bag around all day like I did if you wanted to explore NYC. Food inside the venue was pricey, but there were a TON of food trucks outside with more affordable options. There was also a lot of vegan and vegetarian options for food, so thank you Beautycon for thinking of us!
I hope you enjoyed the post! Have you been to a beauty convention before? Let me know! 🙂
Thanks so much for reading, as always <3
