LITTLE BOX OF GOOD | bonJOY May Monthly

Today I wanted to show you a special box, that I’m very happy that I found. bonJOY is a monthly or seasonal box filled with goodies that DO GOOD! (They also have bitty bundles that contain a few items and are the perfect gift item.)

You may think that slavery is a thing of the past – but think again. Human trafficking is the illegal trade of human beings, either for forced labor or sex trafficking. Every 30 seconds, someone becomes a victim of modern-day slavery. (Source) It’s a scary and a real thing. The products in these monthly or seasonal boxes do good for trafficked, exploited and at-risk women around the world and that’s something that I totally support. I’m all about empowerment, and helping others in need.

Above is an inspirational quote, which was designed by Cassandra from Chic for Good (her blog is great, so do check it out!) I love cute stationery that I can hang up near my desk (which I will be doing with this).

On the back of the print from Chic for Good lists all of the products in the box and displays the current give-back partner (they donate $1 from every box to the partner and you have the option to make a donation as well).

Here’s a ton of information about the products/companies featured in this month’s box that was in the yellow envelope!

First up is this himalayan sea salt bath soak (that smells fabulous!) Revive donates a portion of every sale to provide job training skills to women exiting the trafficking trade. Revive has tons of different types of soaps, bath soaks, lip balms and other bath goodies.

I’m a sucker for jewelry, so take a look at this super simple, but super chic vegan bracelet from BADALA. BADALA has housewares and beautiful jewelry. Definitely check out their store and support them, because it truly is for a great cause.

I like to smell good, do you? So you really can’t ever go wrong with perfume in a subscription box. This is from GLOW for a cause. It’s a rollerball perfume in their scent wish and it smells spectacular. I didn’t even put a whole lot on my wrist when I first tried it this morning, and I can STILL smell it at 11 at night (iiiiiincredible). GLOW has more than just perfume though! They have candles, soaking salts, body care and even stuff for babies! GLOW donates 5% of purchases to a select non-profit (that you get to choose at checkout).

Again, I’m a sucker for cute stationery like items. I was pumped when I saw this cute tent style calendar from Marie Mae. I love the gray textured cover and the illustrations for each month are super cute! Each product purchased from Marie Mae provides one hour of business education for women in emerging markets through the Marie Mae Business School. Their products are super adorbs and go to another great cause (man, I love companies that do good!)

I highly HIGHLY recommend bonJOY if you’re looking for a new subscription box, or a cool box for someone you love. There’s lots of amazing things in the boxes and I’m sure you’ll feel better knowing that your purchase of the box helps women who are at-risk, exploited and trafficked around the world.
