If you didn’t already know, I love Hask’s products. I did a ravin’ review on their Monoi Coconut Oil collection which you can check out here. I was able to try out the Mint Almond Oil collection and my expectations were high and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. I have ultra thin hair so when I noticed that these products had a Bio 3 thickening complex in them, I was even more thriller. It’s so hard for me to get volume in my hair and make it look full, so I was really hoping these products could help me out – and they did! All of the products were sent over in this adorable bag too, that I definitely will be traveling with.
First up, the shampoo and conditioner. They have a great minty smell and invigorate your scalp (just like the bottle says!) I can get a really nice lather with the shampoo and love the way it feels, it leaves me hair feeling refreshed after I rinse it out. I realllllllllly focus it on my roots to help add some volume. After I rinse it all out, I apply the conditioner mainly focusing on the ends, and then I take the little bit of excess and add it up closer to my roots. I leave it on for a little bit then rinse it out and it leaves my hair feeling so soft and smooth. These products don’t weigh your hair down, which I love.
Next is the root thickening spray. Smells just like the shampoo and conditioner and I think the pop of color on the bottle is so cute. (Hask has such cute packaging, I love it). It says to use on towel dried hair and to focus it on your roots then blow dry your hair or you can use it on dry hair for an added lift. I’ve done both and I prefer to use it when I blow out my hair, just to add a little bit more volume. It also adds some nice texture which I like. The only downside with this product is that you can accidentally use too much, and it will cause some buildup at your roots. So I would start by using a little bit then work your way up until you find the right amount that works for you. It doesn’t make you feel or look greasy though, which is a great plus. I really like this stuff and I’m pleased with the volume it adds to my hair.
Overall, I highly recommend these products if you have thin, fine hair. They’re about the same price as the other collection I used and can be found at Ulta, Walmart, Walgreens and other stores.
Thanks for reading! Have you used these before or want to use them now? Let me know below 🙂
Xoxo, Rae
