HASK Bamboo Oil Collection | Review *

by

IMG_1208

IMG_1225IMG_1231You guys know how much I love HASK’s products…it’s nearing an addiction phase. I was thrilled that I got the opportunity to try out their Bamboo Oil collection that’s specifically for strengthening your hair. Here’s what HASK says about this collection on their website…

“It’s time to add strength training to your hair care routine! Fortify fragile hair and defend against damage and breakage with HASK Bamboo Oil Strengthening collection. The line features a Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner and Shine Oil, all formulated with ProDefense Complex that penetrates hair to strengthen, reinforce and protect. Bamboo oil, known as one of Asia’s natural treasures, is proven to strengthen hair and deliver essential nutrients that revive weakened and lifeless strands. Combined with biotin and collagen, silicon-rich bamboo oil gives hair a strong foundation, improves flexibility and prevents split ends. So damage caused by every day styling is a thing of the past!”

I don’t know about you, but I start by shampooing my hair first (I know some people who condition first, but I ain’t about that life). This Bamboo Oil Strengthening Shampoo is like magic. It left my hair feeling so smooth and soft (per usual with HASK’s products). It also felt like it had a different texture to it after I rinsed out the shampoo, kind of like it instantly transformed my hair, but maybe that’s just me.
The conditioner really helped to keep my hair feeling soft and smooth, also helped reduce my frizziness without making my hair look or feel oily or greasy (which is important to me). These two work amazingly together, and the ingredients in both with help strengthen your hair in no time!

You might use a mask for your face, but did you know that your hair needs a mask sometimes too? HASK has lots of different hair masks and they have one in this collection too! I’ve used their masks before on nights when I wanted to pamper myself. They come in convenient pouch that comes with 1.75 oz of product, if you have short hair like me, you can definitely get more than one use out of the single pouch. They say to use it 1-2 times a week and to leave it on for 10 minutes (on clean wet hair) then rinse your hair thoroughly. These masks really help to repair your hair and thoroughly nourish all of your locks without leaving your hair greasy or weighed down from residue, it’s a win win.

Hair oils are good to give your hair a little extra TLC and to help reduce frizz and fly aways. I like to use a small amount of oil on my dry hair before leaving for the day. It makes me look polished and like I didn’t just roll out of bed (even though I totally did). This hair oil is great, just like the other one I’ve tried from HASK and I definitely will be using it daily (so I hope they come out with a full size soon 😉 HMU HASK when you do!)

P.s. How cute is this bag I got too!? I used the other one I got while traveling to hold my toiletries and it was awesome! I will definitely put this one to good use too.

So that’s all for today, I hope you enjoyed reading!

Hey lovelies! I just recently purchased the 8 pc Black Beauty Brush Set from Furless Cosmetics and I thought I would share some pictures and my first thoughts about the brushes! The set retails for $89.99, but I was able to use a 30% off discount code. They have lots of different synthetic brushes and some cruelty free pigments.case

You get this really awesome case that has “Furless” embossed into it. It’s really soft and has a cool texture, plus its convenient to have all of your brushes in one place, especially for travel. The case securely zips closed all the way around so your brushes won’t fall out like they do with brush roll cases. The case also has pockets for the brushes to fit perfectly in to!

Here are some beauty shots of all of the brushes…

They have wood handles with metal ferrels around the bristle, which is really secure so your brushes won’t fall apart. The brushes also have “Furless” stamped on them in silver. As you can see, you get a variety of brushes. Some face brushes and some eye brushes. I love the gorgeous blue color on the end of the bristles. The brushes are super soft and I can’t wait to use them!

Overall, I’m super pleased with this brush set. Their quality is definitely superior to the cheaper brushes I have, I don’t have any high end brushes to compare them to, since this is my first high-end set ever. I’m also afraid to use them cause they’re so pretty, I don’t want to ruin them! But I know that I will be using them and I’m really excited to try them out.

Hope you enjoyed the post and definitely go check out Furless Cosmetics!

Valentia Royal Rose Hydrating Serum | Review *

by

2016-03-27 09.32.23

Hey guys! Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend and enjoyed being with your family (if you were able to!) As you guys know, I have really sensitive, dry skin so I have to be really careful with what I put on my face. I need something that can calm redness but also hydrate my dry skin. I have pale skin so redness really shows on my skin and I hate how obvious my red spots are, so I was thrilled to be able to try out the Royal Rose Hydrating Serum from Valentia. It’s specially formulated for sensitive skin. I have tried other Valentia products and I like them (I still use the eye cream daily!)

This serum claims that it will…

“- Deeply moisturizes skin

– Provides antioxidant protection

– Soothes & nourishes dry skin

– Smooths skin tone & texture

– Boosts skin radiance” (straight from their website).

2016-03-27 09.32.50This serum contains nourishing oils such as Rosa Damascena, Bearberry, Niacinamide (Vitamin B) plus other oils that will do wonders on your skin. (You can read about what these ingredients are good for right on their website/product page).

This serum smells like roses and it’s a really soothing smell. It’s not too overwhelming, so I guess you could say it has the right amount of rose scent to it. It kind of reminds me of my grandmother, but that’s in a good way.

2016-03-27 09.33.05

First I cleanse my face with a gentle cleanser and I leave my face slightly damp, I use two pumps of the creamy serum and put dots of it on my face, then I use my palms to press it into the skin thoroughly. I also bring it down onto my neck. It feels really refreshing and that’s one of the things I like about it. After it is fully absorbed into my skin, I follow with a moisturizer of my choice and their eye cream that I have. They suggest you use it at night after cleansing, so that’s what I have been doing.

2016-03-27 09.33.342016-03-27 09.34.01

I have really been loving this serum. It leaves your face feeling soft and plump and moisturized. It also has helped to calm the redness I have around some of my acne spots and nose (which I’m thankful for) and it hasn’t irritated my skin. My face does feel smoother and my face looks brighter.

So overall, I recommend this product if you can afford it (it’s $35) and you have problem skin like I do. It works very well and leaves your face feeling hydrated without feeling oily or greasy.

I hope you enjoyed the post and thank you for reading!

Xoxo, Rae
