Love Goodly Aug/Sept 2018 Unboxing & Review

This is a little bit (okay, a lotta bit!) late, but better late than never, right? Today I’m sharing my most recent Love Goodly box. Love Goodly is a bi-monthly cruelty free & vegan beauty subscription box. The box is $34.95 bi-monthly and you get over $80+ worth of products in each box. They also have an online store where you can purchase brands that have been in previous boxes. I’ve been subscribed to Love Goodly for a while now and I like that you can skip your next box if you wish, which I’ve had to do a couple of times. You can read my previous unboxings here!

Like most subscription boxes, you get a card telling you what’s inside and it’s value. This box had $88+ value and I got 5 full sized items.

Everything Branded – Stainless Straw – $3.50

First up is this awesome stainless straw! I love that this was something we got in our box because I’ve been wanting to purchase one for daily use.

Axiology Natural Lipstick – The Goodness – $30

Next up is a lipstick from Axiology in the shade the Goodness. First of all, I love the packaging. The graphic designer in me gets so happy when I see cute packaging for products.

The lipstick comes in a pretty gold bullet case and I think it’s gorgeous.

The shade is a pretty nude with some shimmer. It’s definitely not a color that I would wear everyday, but it is a stunning color. I think I’ll be wearing it on Thanksgiving!

Balanced Guru – Organic Balanced Scalp Treatment – $23

Here we have a scalp treatment, which is something I’ve never seen or heard of before. This claims to alleviate the need for dry shampoo since it’s supposed to balance the oils that are already on our scalp (I’m a bit skeptical).

I like the bottle that it comes in and it has a dropper so it would make it easier to apply to your scalp. I have yet to try this out, but I’m curious about it since I get oily pretty quickly sometimes.

Doctor Rogers – Restore Healing Balm – $30

This is a petroleum free balm that can help with many skin ailments, like chapped lips, dry/cracked skin, to cover cuts/scrapes and more. It’s safe for sensitive and injured skin and I must say, this stuff is a lifesaver.

I like the packaging a lot, too. It’s in a metal tube and again, reminds me of the olden days. I really like to use this stuff on my cuticles – my hands get super dry because I work with paper and boxes all day at work. It also works wonders on the lips too!

Hippeas – Vegan White Cheddar Snack – $2

Last, but not least is a bag of Hippeas! I’ve never heard of this brand before but I was super stoked to try them out. I love chickpeas and I love things in puff form, so this is a win win for me. White cheddar flavor is also a win in my book! I like the price of these, I think they’re affordable and they’re so tasty. I definitely want to try out some of their other flavors!

Welp, I hope you enjoyed the post! What subscription boxes are you subscribed to? Let me know!

Thanks so much for reading, as always <3

FabFitFun Fall 2018 Unboxing & Review

Hey my loves! Long time, no post – yet again. Life has just been super crazy for me lately and I’ve been busy working on my graphic design portfolio and working and taking classes. I finished some of my work early so I have some time to sit down and write a blog post (finally!) Today I’m writing about my first FabFitFun box, my sister recommended that I get it, so I figured why not?

First off, I love the box! The autumn themed illustrations are so cute. I think the box also came in purple but I got the orange version.

Like most subscription boxes, you get some literature telling you what’s in the box.

And you also get a card with a code to share with friends! So I’m sharing mine with you 🙂

The first thing I got in my box was this super cute white and black polka dot umbrella! Everyone needs an umbrella, especially with the super rainy weather we’ve been having lately. I love the print and it feels like it’s very good quality.

Next up is this Blue in Capri shower gel which smells soooo good. It’s a cruelty free product and I’m super excited to try it out once I finish up my current body wash.

Next is a Luna Rica bar, in the flavor salted caramel nut! It’s REALLY good and I definitely want to buy more.

I’m really pleased with the mix of products you get. This is the Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Day Cream. I love that it’s in a metal tube, reminds me of the olden days. It’s free from a ton of nasty chemicals, which I appreciate! I haven’t tried it yet but I’m excited to – I’ll let you guys know how it goes!

I also got two sheet masks from Glamglow, however Glamglow is not cruelty free so I will not be using these! I’m going to pass them off to a friend so they don’t go to waste.

Next up is the Dew It All eye cream from Farmacy. I’ve tried a face mask from Farmacy before and I really liked it so I was super excited to see this in my Fabfitfun box! I’m currently using a different eye cream from Derma E, so once I finish that up I’ll definitely be using this. How cute is the packaging?!

Okay so, I was definitely most excited for this, a beautyblender. I’ve used the RealTechniques sponge for years and I love that it’s affordable and available at the drugstore buttttt I’ve always wanted to try the beautyblender but couldn’t justify spending so much on a makeup sponge. I haven’t used it yet (almost kind of don’t want to, it’s like a collection piece to me now, y’know?) but I definitely will use it when my current makeup sponge needs to be retired. Do you have a beautyblender? Do you like it or do you think it’s overrated? Let me know in the comments!

I also got this super cute ceramic teapot. I’m not a huge loose leaf tea drinker, but I think this tea pot is so cute and would be a great decoration in anyone’s’ kitchen.

Another accessory for the kitchen – some towels! I feel like towels are something you can never have enough of (I know I can’t). I like how simple the pattern is and I think they’re really dainty and cute! (How many times have I said cute in this post so far?)

Lastly – but definitely not least!

A Vince Camuto vegan leather bag. I love the combo of the black and brown vegan leather, I know most people don’t like to mix brown and black together but I really like the way it looks. The bag is pretty simple and doesn’t have much structure but it does have a nice sized pocket on the inside for your phone or keys. I think this bag would be great for a day trip and definitely could be used all year long.

I must say that…

I’m impressed with Fabfitfun and I definitely will be keeping my subscription. It’s not too expensive and you get a box full of goodies 4x a year for only $50! You get so much good stuff that you could totally give some of the stuff in the box away as gifts if it doesn’t suit you or your style.
You can save $10 on your first box if you’re interested in subscribing!

I hope you guys enjoyed the post! Have you gotten Fabfitfun before? Thoughts? What did you think of this seasons’ box? Let me know!

Thanks so much for reading, as always <3

Love Goodly Dec/Jan Unboxing + Discount Code!

Hey loves! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah, or happy whatever you decide to celebrate! I enjoyed spending time with my family and loved seeing the looks on their faces as they opened the gifts I got them, which has always been my favorite thing about the holidays. Oh, and the food. The food is pretty great too.

Toooooday, we’re gonna take a look into my Love Goodly subscription box – which has been one of my favorites, and I have a discount code for you to try it out too! Get 20% off your FIRST subscription box with the code “LOVEFALL” (code expires 12/31/16, so make sure to use it soon!)

This box was curated by Emily Deschanel, which is pretty cool! (I’ve always been curious as to how much work goes into curating these boxes, how about you?) The box supported their partner the Farm Sanctuary, and most of their boxes help to support their partners, so it’s always a plus!

Here are the goodies I got! Two skin care items, 1 snack and two makeup items (lipgloss and nailpolish).

This Boom Chicka Pop popcorn was the bomb. It was soooo yummy and I actually ate the rest of the bag in between photos. You can buy a 6pk of the 0.6 ounce bags from Target for $5, which is pretty sweet if you ask me! They’re a guilt free snack and treat so I totally recommend them.

This is a really cool idea, it’s a blend of herbs that help to detoxify your skin when you put it in a bowl of hot water and hold your face over the bowl for a nice facial steam. This is a nice sample size but the full size retails for $22. I think this would be nice to use when you want an extra treat for you skin. I’m excited to try it out 🙂

I looooove Pacifica so I was pretty stoked to get this lip gloss. I’m not a huge lip gloss person but I wore it on Christmas Eve and it looked really nice. I got the shade Nudist I believe and I really like it. Pacifica’s lipglosses go for $10 so that’s a good portion of the box right there!

I’ve heard good things about MyChelle skincare and I’ve been wanting to try it out, so I’m stoked that I got this in the box (That’s the good thing about subscription boxes! You get good samples to try out). This retails for $44 so it’s a total steal, since that’s more than what the box costs and it’s a full size product! They suggest using this in the morning after cleansing and moisturizer (if you’re planning on layering). I’ve used it a couple times and I’m still waiting to see results, but so far so good.

Lastly is this nailpolish from Cote. Cote is toxin free nail polish brand that has loads of colors. Their polishes seem to run for $18 each, which isn’t extremely bad for an indie brand. I got the color No. 4 and it looks really good! I like the subtle hints of shimmer, so it’s definitely an everyday color.

Overall, I’m pretty pleased with this Love Goodly box, as I have been with the ones in the past 🙂

Thanks for reading, as always <3

Xoxo, Rae
