Nolaskinsentials Review *

by

Hey my loves! It’s been a while since I did a beauty related review/haul, so I’m so happy that I finally have some time today to write this post about some goodies I got from Nolaskinsentials a while ago. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been raving about some of these products from Nolaskinsentials and how I’ve incorporated them into my skin care regimen.

Birth control has totally changed my skin, so I’ve been breaking out a lot more and my skin has become oily. I know that there’s not much you can do about hormonal acne but these products have helped to clear up my breakouts quicker.

Nolaskinsentials is a small business located in New York. Everything is handcrafted, plant-based (hell yes!) and affordable.

Clarifying Face Wash – $18

This is my fave face wash at the moment! My skin feels SO clean after using it and I’ve definitely seen an improvement in my skin when using it. It’s ingredients cleanse your skin of excess sebum, bacteria and dirt without stripping your skin of it’s natural oils and moisture (which is a problem I’ve had with past cleansers targeted for acne). This cleanser is suitable for all skin types and I love that it’s a foam. Can’t recommend it enough! They also have a glycolic cleanser for blackheads and enlarged pores if you don’t need something that targets zits. (Check our their other cleansers here!)

Green Tea Antioxidant Face Mask – $15

I’m a mask junkie. I love using them to unwind and of course, to help out my skin! This mask is awesome. It made my skin feel so soft and smooth and my pores looked so much better the next morning. I like that it helped to absorb my excess oil and reduce my redness. A little bit goes a long way, so this jar will last you a while (a total plus).

Glycolic Night Creme – $17

If you’ve been here for a while, you probably remember my past reviews of glycolic products (especially the Nip & Fab exfoliating pads) and how much I love them! Glycolic acid is awesome for skincare products because it gently exfoliates to reveal glowing, smooth skin. Exfoliating is also good to help reduce the appearance of acne scars or dark spots. I’ve been using this after I tone my face with their Witches Brew Toner and before I apply moisturizer or an oil. So far, I’m loving the results!

Iconic Elixir – $21

Unfortunately, I’m a picker. If I have a zit or a spot on my face, I just can’t help but pick at it which is terrible, I know. Because of this, I’ve been getting some scarring (which is a total duh moment Rae). Oils are super beneficial when it comes to scars which is why I was super stoked to try out the Iconic Elixir. It’s full of natural oils that won’t clog your pores and will help to reduce the appearance of acne scars + control your oil production. I was kind of skeptical at first to put an oil on my face, but I’m so glad I tried it out because it has made a difference in my skin. I use this after cleansing my face with the clarifying face wash and after I spritz on the toner water. It absorbs so quickly and won’t leave you feeling icky. I definitely recommend the Iconic Elixir if you’re looking for something to control oil!

Witches Brew Toner – $15

This toner is my absolute favorite. I’m still a lover of the Tea Tree Water from Lush, but I feel like it wasn’t incredibly effective – it works, but not as well as the Witches Brew Toner! This toner water is specially formulated for oily + acne prone skin, however, they do have other toners for different skin types. I used this after cleansing and do two sprays all over my face, avoiding the eye area, I follow it with some of the iconic elixir to further help my skin. I will definitely be repurchasing this because I love it so much!

Overall, I’m so happy that Nolaskinsentials reached out to me! I’m so glad I was able to try out these products because they are so amazing and I love the brand (Follow them on Instagram, their stories are the bomb). I hope this review helped you out and that you’ll pick up some of their products because they are so worth it (and supporting small businesses is oh so important!)

I hope you enjoyed the post! Do you see anything that you want to try? Let me know!

Thanks so much for reading, as always <3

Nip + Fab Review *

by

Hey my loves! I hope you’re doing fantastic. Today I have a special post for you about Nip + Fab! I’ve done a review on some of their products in the past, which you can read here. Nip + Fab is cruelty free, affordable and available at Ulta or CVS (plus on their website!)

Nip + Fab has makeup, skincare, bodycare and even products formulated for the gents.

Glycolic Fix Night Pads // $15

I’m a huge fan of the daily glycolic fix pads, so when I saw that they had a night version too I was super excited! Formulated with glycolic acid, lactic acid, hyaluronic acid and salicylic acid -these exfoliating facial pads will refine your pores, brighten your complexion, and decongest your skin. These pads seriously pack a punch! I have sensitive skin, so I only use them once a week but I’ve noticed a difference in my skin – it’s smoother and looks clearer. They don’t burn or irritate my skin, which I was worried about. I was also worried that they would dry my skin out too much, but they don’t. I do recommend them if you want to incorporate something new into your skincare routine. They’re affordable and effective!

Glycolic Cleansing Fix // $8

When I first saw this I thought it was a toner, but it’s actually a cleanser. It has glycolic acid in it to retexture and resurface the skin while the olive oil in it hydrates and smooths your skin. I use it after I get out of the shower, while my skin is still damp. I really focus on my problem areas (my chin and around my mouth) to make sure that I get all of the gunk out of my pores. This has really helped with my hormonal acne and I do recommend! P.s. A little goes a long way 🙂

Glycolic Fix Radiance Shot // $20

This is a highly concentrated serum that will resurface your skin, reduce the appearance of pigmentation, and will stimulate cell renewal so you’ll look younger and feel better about yourself! I’m happy to say that I’ve incorporated this into my daily routine, I apply it in the morning before moisturizer and it gives me such a nice glow.

Post-Glycolic Fix Moisturizer // $19

This moisturizer is a must-have for me! It’s the last step for my morning glycolic skincare routine. Not only does it have SPF in it to save your skin from harmful UV rays, it also has ingredients to calm + soothe your skin plus it also helps to control oil-buildup throughout the day! It smells great, feels great and my skin loves it. I’m sure yours will too! 🙂

Overall – Nip + Fab is an amazing skincare brand that’s surely becoming my favorite. I can’t wait to try out some of the their other products.

Have you tried anything from Nip + Fab? Let me know if you have or if you want to! 🙂

I hope you enjoyed the post.

Thanks so much for reading, as always <3

Nip + Fab Skincare Review *

by

Hello my loves! I have something special for you today – a review on some goodies from Nip + Fab!

Nip + Fab is a fabulous skincare and body care range founded by Maria Hatzistefanis (founder of Rodial). Designed to deliver targeted treatments for the face and body, our formulas are crammed with innovative and natural advanced skin smoothing, boosting and firming ingredients. Nip + Fab is premium skincare for everyday concerns at everyday prices.

Nip + Fab is available at Ulta, Target and even CVS – so it’s really accessible and affordable if you’re looking for a higher quality drugstore skin care product/line. (P.S. they offer a student discount through their website!) I was able to try out 4 of their products and I’m pleased with the results so I’m happy to share how I feel about the products!

Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads // $13

These are daily cleansing pads soaked in glycolic acid (to retexture + resurface the skin), hyaluronic acid (to moisturize + refresh the skin),  and blue daisy (to sooth + calm the skin).

I really like using these! I use one at night to help prep my skin for the morning and so the ingredients in the pads can soak into my skin and really work their magic throughout the night. They’ve helped to tone down my dry skin patches which I’m thankful for and I know you will be too if you use them!

Dragon’s Blood Fix Hyaluronic Shot // $25

This intense moisture concentrate works to deeply hydrate thirsty and dry skin for a moisture locked and plumper finish. Dragon’s Blood works to protect and heal the skin from all outside aggressions. Hyaluronic acid is combined with the dragon’s blood to instantly plump the skin. The Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Fix Shot can be used directly onto the skin, or mixed with other products for a double shot of hydration and plumping!

I was kind of scared to use this at first, especially because it’s different than other products I’ve used but I decided to give it ago. It smells pretty good and I love the benefits of the dragon’s blood and the hyaluronic acid! I also like how you can use it alone or add it to something else – I personally use it on it’s own when I need an extra boost (since the moisturizers I used already have hyaluronic acid in them). A little bit pricey, but worth it if you need something with these benefits!

Bust Fix Night Cream // $17

An amped up version of our best-selling Bust Fix! Maximum strength plumping CellActive® -FORM gets to work whilst your body is rested so it can work harder to achieve optimum results on the bust and decollete area. The key ingredient in this is Chronodyn which actively promotes cell regeneration, whilst adding volume to the cleavage and firming the bust area.

I’ve never seen a product like this before so I was pretty skeptical. Like, really? A product that can plump my boobs? Count me in! I definitely would never get plastic surgery so I think the concept of the product is really cool, especially if you just want a little boost. I didn’t notice a huge difference but I was able to tell that something was different (my boyfriend could too!) I don’t know how this would work if you’re very small chested, but it’s worth a try!

Kale Fix Clay Mask // $10

A super-charged nourishing clay face mask enriched with minerals and witch hazel, works to draw away impurities without drying the skin. The addition of an advanced moisture complex helps to restore the skin’s natural barrier function & regulate water loss to increase hydration for the skin to leave it feeling touchably soft with a fresh glow.

I love masks so I was super stoked to try this one out! I love the packaging and how it’s in a tube, because nothing is more frustrating than trying to get a mask out of a jar (in my opinion). I like how this is a hydrating mask that also decongests your skin since most detox masks dry out my skin. It was super easy to put on and get off, which I like in a mask! I noticed my skin feeling much softer after using it and it helped to calm down my current breakouts, which is always a plus. Highly recommend!

Overall, I’m really pleased with Nip + Fab’s products! I have seen them on the shelf before but had never took the initiative to try them out, so I’m super grateful that I was able to get the chance to try them out.

Have you tried anything from Nip + Fab before? Did anything catch your eye? Let me know!

Thanks so much for reading, as always <3
