Zabana Essentials Haul + Mini Review

by

zabana1

Hey loves! It’s been a little while since I did my last haul and I’ve been promising on instagram that this one would be up soon (I’m just terrible at procrastinating, y’know!!)

So finally, it’s here! Let me tell you a little about Zabana Essentials. Zabana has 100% natural and vegan cosmetics that are handcrafted in California (I love stuff that’s made in the USA!) They have a range of products, like deodorants, a face serum, dry shampoo and even an armpit detox bar (say whaaa?!) I’ve been trying these out over the past few weeks & I’m hooked, so keep on reading to see what I got and what I like about them!

I’m a sucker for anything mini sized and also natural deodorants! I was intrigued by the fragrances they have available and how some are baking soda free (which I need since baking soda irritates the crap outta me). These definitely aren’t your typical natural deo smells and I love that. I picked up Lime Berry Basil  and Sage Blood Orange. These are the perfect size to shove in your purse or backpack! I currently have the Lime Berry Basil one in my locker at work and I love freshening up with it, it smells so goooood. I do recommend these if you’re looking for a new natural deo or just want to stock up on some minis! (Plus! They’d be a great gift for someone who wants to delve into the natural deo/green beauty world *hint hint*)

I live off of dry shampoo and don’t know what I would do without it. I haven’t tried a powder dry shampoo so that’s really why I picked this up! Plus, the scent caught my eye. It’s really easy to use – just sprinkle some on, let it sit then style per usual. (They recommend using a ‘natural bristled brush’ but I just use my regular hairbrush and it works fine. I also like to rub it in with my fingers). It smells great and does a really good job at making my hair look like it was just washed. I dooooo recommend!

I wanted to try out their face sprays so I got both of the ones that they offer. Lavender Lemongrass is for combo + oily skin and helps to detoxify and balance the skin. Citron Blossom is for all skin types and brightens and rejuvenates the skin. I use one or the other depending on my face issues. Usually I like to use the Citron Blossom one before putting on my makeup to help get it ready for application. If you want, you can also use these as a cleanser (sort of) – just spray it on then use a cotton round to remove excess dirt and oil. I love that these are in glass bottles so I can reuse them when I finish them off! I really like these and do recommend them as well.

Then lastly, the Armpit Detox Bar! When using natural deo (or transitioning into natural deo), you may find that you don’t smell as fresh or that it’s not working…that’s why you need to detox yo’ pits! This is made with Coconut, Charcoal and Clay so it’ll really suck out all the junk stuck in your pit pores and leave you with squeaky clean pits 🙂 They say to wet the bar, lather it in your hands, rub the lather in your pits then let it sit for 2-3 minutes then rinse off. I have noticed a difference when using this – I smell fresher for longer and I just feel more comfortable wearing natural deodorant when I use it. It’s definitely a must have for natural deo users, so get one stat!

Overall, I was super pleased with my first purchase from Zabana. They have amazing cruelty free, vegan + natural products and I can’t wait to try out all of the other stuff they have to offer. Do you want to try out Zabana Essentials? Let me know!

Thanks for reading, as always <3

bonJOY Bitty Bundle 2.0

by

Bonjoy Box

Hey babes! This has actually been a post that I wanted to get up ages ago, I just never got around to it. (Worst blogger award goes to me?) Anyways, if you didn’t see my past post about the bonJOY May Monthly Box, check it out right now. I love the thought and message behind bonJOY because all of the products in their boxes actually help to support trafficked, exploited & at risk women around the world.

Pictured above is their Bitty Bundle 2.0, which will cost you $20 buuuut it’s definitely worth it (for the products + the impact your purchase has!)

Bonjoy Box2

Here’s a list of what you get in the box. Three items, but they have a large impact (plus, this little taste of these products can help you decide whether you want to subscribe to support the brands showcased in the bundle!) You also get a little bit of everything. A candle for some home decor & mood setting made by young moms in Chicago, a lip shimmer to keep your lips moisturized and fight human trafficking at the same time, and (my fave) a pair of earrings that are stunning, made in the USA and help to fight trafficking as well.

I apparently didn’t want to take a picture of the candle when doing these photos…so insert my cute instagram post of it with my salt lamp now…

In the bitty bundle, you get the Yuzu Coconut votive. I really don’t even know how to describe the scent of this candle, but it’s absolutely amazing. I like to light it at night to help me relax a little (the salt lamp helps with this too!) I will definitely have to purchase a full sized one once this one runs out. FYI, by purchasing from Bright Endeavors, you are providing a job for a young mother and you’ll leave an impact on her & her child (or children). I love companies that do good, so I always try to support business like these + I love shopping small and find it very important.

Bonjoy Box3

Here is the lip shimmer in Radiant Rosy from My Sister. I haven’t used this yet, since I’m not a huge fan of glitter lips, but I am still keeping it in my collection because I’m hoping someday I will end up trying it. A percentage of each purchase from My Sister goes to their non-profit partners to help raise awareness in the fight against sex trafficking. They have more than just lip products though! I just noticed that they have a lot of cute t-shirts that I would love to have in my closet, as well as jewelry, flash tattoos and buttons.

Bonjoy Box6

Ugh, I love these earrings from New Creation so much. I was looking for a pair of druzy studs for such a long time, so I was super stoked to see these featured in the bundle. New Creation combats the issue of sex trafficking through education, awareness, responsible consumerism, and the hope of Christ. They are located in Virginia and even have a store where you can shop in if you’re ever in the area. They have beautiful jewelry and so many more products that you’ll ferrrr-sure fall in love with.Bonjoy Box7

If you couldn’t tell, I loved everything in this bundle and I can’t wait until they release the bitty bundle 3.0 because I will definitely snatch it up!

What do you think about the bitty bundle? Do you want one? (P.s. they make great gifts!)

Thanks for reading, as always <3

Bdellium Tools Review + Video *

by

dbelliumtools

Hey lovelies! Today’s post is going to be about some brushes that Bdellium was nice enough to send me to try out and let you ladies know what I think of them!

Bdellium carries professional eco friendly tools that are 100% cruelty free and have hypoallergenic bristles. They have a variety of brushes ranging from special effects, travel size and a studio line + more. I also think that they are affordable for the quality that you get, because they are pretty amazing.

dbelliumtools2

“Creates the perfect light finish with the versatility of being able to blend face powder and water-based foundation beautifully.”dbelliumtools3

First up is the Green Bambu 955 Brush ($14), which is a finishing brush. It has a really nice bamboo handle and super soft synthetic bristles. The brush isn’t dense, so it’s really great for applying powder to set/finish your face. I used this brush with my bareMinerals to set my foundation, and it did a spectacular job and really created a flawless finish. I also really like the colored bristles (does anyone else think that colored brushes are more fun? No? Just me? Okay…)

dbelliumtools4I think that this brush is really great and is different than my other finishing brushes. I will definitely keep grabbing this one when doing my makeup!

dbelliumtools5

“The Purple Bambu Sultry Eyes 5 piece Brush Set includes a collection of brushes that are the perfect blending and lining tools you need to create beautiful sultry eyes.”

dbelliumtools6
Next up is the Purple Bambu Sultry Eyes 5pc Brush Set ($30). This set has everything you need to create a complete eye look. The brushes that are included are:

  • #783PU Small Tapered Blending
  • #777PU Shadow
  • #762PU Small Angle
  • #716PU Smoky Eyeliner
  • #708PU Bent Eyeliner

So you’re really getting a variety of brushes that all do different things (I hate sets that have brushes that do similar things). These brushes are amazing quality, they didn’t shed and aren’t scratchy. They’re perfect for the eyes and I was able to create an edgy look with this set! I’m super stoked to try out the bent eyeliner brush with a gel liner (that I will purchase in the future) because I think it will make applying it a breeze.

dbelliumtools7

I honestly prefer the small tapered blending brush from this set more than I like my Luxie tapered blending brush, which is saying a lot because it was my absolute favorite. This brush is more dense and gives you a high color pay out while still being able to blend your shadows seamlessly. The smoky eyeliner brush is perfect to smoke out the bottom lashline or create a really smoky liner on the top of the lashes.

dbelliumtools8Overall, I really really really liked this set and think that you should try it out, if you take into consideration that there’s 5 brushes (so $30/5) you’re really only paying $6 per brush which I think is an absolute steal. I know that some companies may have cheaper brushes, but I highly doubt that they could live up to the quality of these brushes.

Check out my most recent video of me using the brushes to create a grunge inspired look!

What do you think of the brushes from bdellium tools? Let me know!

Thanks so much for reading, as always <3
