If you constantly have issues with your skin, then it is most likely a problem with your body reacting to substances that you put on your face, or in the atmosphere or that you are consuming on a daily basis. You might think that if you have bad skin, you’re just unlucky, but that’s not usually true. While some people do have medical issues that affect the look and feel of their skin, other people can correct their issues by changing their lifestyle. Let’s look at some examples of this and explore the changes you can make to vanquish skin issues for good.
Natural beauty
Admittedly, this is a daunting possibility and one that many people will certainly shy away from. However, saying goodbye to makeup could be the best choice for your skin. Makeup is often filled with chemicals and substances that are not natural. As such, they can be dangerous to your skin causing reactions. Makeup is also filled with oils that diminish the natural oils on your skin that gives you a beautiful complexion. Most people find that when they start to stop using makeup after a long period of time, their skin looks like a disaster zone. That’s just because you’ve damaged it over the years of using makeup repeatedly. Particularly, if you are one of those individuals who doesn’t bother to wash it off at the end of the day.
If you don’t want to stop using makeup completely, try using natural makeup products. These don’t contain chemicals or manmade materials and as such are better for your skin. Or try and reduce the level of makeup you use. Concealer and foundation should be avoided as much as possible as it clogs up your pores and doesn’t give your skin room to breathe.
You might think that you have genetically inherited your issues with acne and it’s true, you may well have. But, you could also be making it worse due to a bad diet. For instance, you could love your soda pops. As you know, these are filled with sugar and sugar causes your body to produce the hormone that makes your pores fill up with that white substance that results in spots. As such, by cutting back on levels of sugar, you can definitely improve the look and feel of your skin. You might also want to try drinking more water. This can help you clear out your skin and get rid of the dirt and grease in your pores.
You may also want to explore the possibility of an allergic reaction or intolerance to certain foods. An unknown allergy or intolerance can certainly cause skin issues like acne. Common culprits are milk, chocolate, and nuts. The best way to find out whether food is playing a part is with a food elimination test. That way, you can remove all the food you think might be causing the issue from your diet and add it back in gradually. By doing this, you might discover the real cause behind your bad skin. If in any doubt, cut processed food out and stick to an all natural diet. You should definitely see an improvement.
Natural Cleaning
You might also want to look at the cleaning products you use on your face and skin. For instance, you may be using one of the most soap brands. However, again this could be a mistake because it is, like makeup, often filled with chemicals. They’re great for keeping your skin clean, but they often have unwanted side effects such as causing dry skin. Instead, you should use cleaning products made of natural materials like goat milk soap. Exactly as it sounds, this product is made of goat milk, and it’s far better for your skin. You’ll find that it retains the moisture while getting rid of the dirt and grease. Of course, it’s not just about how you wash your face.
You need to think about your hair too. If you don’t have the long thick locks of a movie star, you’re probably using some form of shampoo to give your hair a volume boost and perhaps a conditioner. The problem is that these are often thick substances that quickly clog up your pores, giving you problems with your skin around your hairline. This can quickly spread to your forehead because obviously your hair falls across your head or rests on it when you sleep. It’s one of the reasons why some people go to sleep with clear skin and wake up with a full blown breakout. If you want to avoid this issue, try using vegetable oil in your hair instead. This really does work, and it’s far better for your skin.
I hope you enjoyed the post and that you found some of these tips helpful! Fight your acne breakouts and dry skin issues by keeping things totally natural 🙂
