If you didn’t already know, I have recently gone cruelty free with all of my beauty products as one of my New Year’s resolutions. It’s a small change that will have an impact, if you want to find out why I decided to go cruelty free check out this post here.
Going cruelty free with your beauty products is pretty easy and can be inexpensive; you just need to do your research. That’s why I decided to do this 6 part “Going Cruelty Free on A Budget” post series so I can let you all know about what kind of brands you should be looking at for different types of products that won’t make you feel guilty after purchasing 🙂
S K I N C A R E
Skincare is one of the most important things (it’s the largest organ on our body!) and that’s why I decided to discuss skincare first. This post will talk about different brands that have moisturizers; serums and cleansers that are all cruelty free and won’t break the bank!
Alba Botanica
I love Alba Botanica. They are a company that produces 100% vegetarian products without any parabens, sulfates or phthalates which are harmful to your skin. They are inexpensive and can be found at CVS, Target, Walgreens & Walmart, etc. You can also purchase their products from Amazon or iHerb. They have moisturizers, toners, body lotions, sunscreen, acne treatments, cleansers, shampoos and conditioners. I personally love the Hawaiian Oil Free Moisturizer, it smells so good and feels great on the skin. I totally recommend Alba if you’re looking for a new cruelty free skincare product!
e.l.f. cosmetics
e.l.f. is probably one of the most affordable companies I’ve come across. Don’t let the word “affordable” fool you. Their products are GREAT and vegan. (See, I told you, you can go cruelty free on a budget!) e.l.f. recently came out with a new skincare line with different masks, cleansers and moisturizers. I would love to try their hydrating bubble mask, it just sounds so fun. I’ve used many many many e.l.f. products before and have never been disappointed, so I would totally pick up some of their products to try, you won’t regret it.
Lush
If you haven’t heard of Lush before, you must be living under a rock. Lush is specially known for their fresh handmade products, most of which are vegan. (They’re the ones who make those beautiful bathbombs!) Lush has TONS of skincare products as well as hair care and makeup. They pretty much have it all and they are affordable. I have personally never used any of their skincare products (like for my face) but I’ve used their foot scrub and a bubbleroon, I loved them. You can also go to a Lush store and get samples of products, that way you don’t have to pay full price for something you may not even like. (Why can’t all companies be like this? Please?)
Pacifica
Pacifica is a brand that offers 100% vegan products at an affordable price. You can purchase their products at Target or online. They have makeup, skincare and fragrances. I’ve used some of their cosmetics before but nothing from their skincare section, but this kale detox face wash is calling my name…brb.
These are just a few of companies that have cruelty free skin care products, there are obviously a lot more but I wanted to keep this list budget friendly. Some others are yes to carrots (I personally didn’t like this brand, but you may want to look into it), NYX (parent company is not cruelty free), Leeanni Eco and the list goes on.
Hope you enjoyed the post and find something that will work for you!
Thanks for reading. <3

Such a great post! I love that you started with skin because it is so important to care for your skin before you do anything else cosmetically… Also loving the diversity in pricing! Now on to the Foundation post!
Glad you liked it :)!
